Connect to GIU
with Citrix Program Neighborhood Agent.
- Double click the PNA icon. Logon window opens.
- Fill in your username, password and domain "LTDK".
Click "OK"
- Wait couple of seconds - Citrix PNA icon turns white
indicating successful login
- Proceed to Start SequencingBrowser.
- Did you get errors?
- Is certificate installed? If not
go here.
- Is domain correct (LTDK)
- Is CapsLock on?

Start Sequencing
Browser from GIU servers.
- Right click PNA icon - application menu opens.
- Select SequencingBrowser from folder "SeqLab"
- If SeqLab folder is not located in your menu, the
"Med Genetics Seq Lab" option was not selected in your GIU application
- Contact GIU administrator Juri Ahokas.

SequencingBrowser opens.
Your personal
GIU-number is shown on upper-left corner.
Sequencing Downloads
- Click "Sequencing Datas" tab.
- Copy '{Search Key}' from the automatic e-mail
you received. '{Search Key}' is specific to a certain batch of samples you
have submitted for us.
- Paste '{Search Key}' next to search button.
- Click "Search" and wait.
- Sequences corresponding to given '{Search Key}' are
displayed.
NOTE: You may also use storage dates, sequencing names etc
to restrict your search. |

Saving files to your computer
- Click "Extract all sequence files"
- Sequence format - window opens
- Select "Extract original trace files to a folder"
and click OK.
- "Save as" window opens
- Select my Computer from "Save in" drop-down menu
- Your local C:-drive is shown as "C$ on 'Client' (V:) -

- Browse for your destination folder and click "Save"
- ABI chromatogram files will be written to the selected
folder.

Fragment Analysis Run Downloads
- Click "Fragment analysis runs" tab.
- Select search criteria (date, run name etc)
- Click "Search"
- Click "Extract all fragment files" or
- "Extract selected fragment file" (only one run)
- Select destination folder and click "OK"
- Fragment analysis run will be saved as a ZIP-file in
selected folder.
- UnZip run using WinZip program.
- Analyze using
GeneMapper or
GeneMarker.
