Sending dried sequencing templates and primers

Sometimes it is practical to dry sequencing templates and primers directly to the PCR plate. Dried samples are easy to send by mail or courier without the fear of leakage or sample mix-up. Dried samples can be stored in room temperature for days. When sending dried samples please remember following:
  • Use only V-bottom 96 well PCR plate (e.g. ABGene AB-0800 or equivalent).
    • We will add sequencing reagents directly to the dried wells and perform sequencing reactions.
    • U or flat bottom plates are not accepted - they don't fit to our PCR thermocyclers.

For Full Service Samples:

  • Pipette template and primer enough for a SINGLE reaction per well (total 2,65 µl)
    • Pipette 2 µl of DNA template
    • Add 0,65 µl of 5 µM sequencing primer
    • Spin plate and dry as follows:
      • Remove seal/caps from the plate
      • Cover the plate loosely with foil to protect samples
      • Dry in an oven (e.g. 50ºC)
      • or dry overnight in room temperature.
    • Seal the plate properly
    • Mark the plate CLEARLY with text "DRY FULL SERVICE".

  • In sample submission form's "Service type" field write DRY FULL SERVICE (or DRY FS)
  • Proceed to "Submit Order"

For Ready-to-Run Samples:

  • Dry the whole sequencing reaction that you made(10µl)
    • Spin plate and dry as follows:
      • Remove seal/caps from the plate
      • Cover the plate loosely with foil to protect samples
      • Dry in an oven (e.g. 50ºC)
      • or dry overnight in room temperature.
    • Seal the plate properly
    • Mark the plate CLEARLY with text "DRY READY-TO-RUN".

  • In sample submission form's "Service type" field write DRY READY-TO-RUN (or DRY RTR)
  • Proceed to "Submit Order"
